Alfândega do Porto Congress Centre (Old Customs House) was, for three times, considered the best in Europe by winning the "Best Meetings & Conference Center in Europe 2017" prize, granted by the Business Destinations magazine. Porto Conference Centre had already been awarded this prize in 2014 and 2015 as well. 

It has a remarkable riverside location, in the Historical Centre of World Heritage Humanity Site, 10 minutes away from main Porto hotels and less than 30 minutes from the Airport and Train Stations. From the outside, the centenary building, outstanding from the rest of Porto´s landscape but still harmonious with the city´s streets and river line, faithful to the unique urban and natural landscape. The building, with 150 years, follows an architecture that includes singular forms and natural spaces. The architect responsible for the renovation of the Customs House is Souto Moura, Pritzker prize 2011.
